Savannah's 3rd Birthday - Disney Dream Cruise

Back in May, we had the amazing experience of sailing on the Disney Dream in celebration of our little Savannah turning three!  If this sounds familiar, well, that’s because it is!  We have made it somewhat of a tradition to celebrate our little girl’s birthday on this cruise for two years in a row now, and you can watch last year’s video on our blog too.  Although the itinerary was the same, Bahamas and Castaway Cay (their private island), she was able to do so much more this time around.  Needless to say, it was tons of fun! In case you were thinking of booking a Disney Cruise, we thought we would share a little insight from our trip.

The cruise that we went on was a short, weekend cruise lasting four days, three nights. The length was perfect for a weekend getaway in the Caribbean. We sailed in the middle of May so that Savannah’s actual birthday landed right at the end of the cruise.  The weather during this time was simply perfect.  Yes, it was hot, but we are from Miami and used to the heat!  Luckily there were plenty of water activities on board and off to keep us cool (not to mention all the ice-cream!)

The ice cream wasn’t the only thing there was plenty of.  The food on the Disney Dream seemed endless. From the buffets to the restaurants, the food was delicious! They had tons of variety, and the quality of the food was great. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were included, and they were all scrumptious!  We loved the themed restaurants and looked forward to being entertained by our restaurant servers each night.  Their food recommendations were on-point. Another awesome service feature that Disney offers is free room service. We found ourselves ordering mac-n-cheese and Mickey ears at weird hours of the night!

There was never a dull moment on the ship. They have all sorts of activities throughout the day for adults, teens, and kids. From the Kid’s Club, entertaining shows, and movie theater to the character meet-and-greets, everything was exceptional. Both of our kids had a phenomenal time and were able to find different things to suit everyone’s taste.  Disney caters to ages three to thirteen to thirty-plus!

We hope you enjoy this little glance at our family vacation and join us as we wish our Savannah a Happy Birthday! Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about our experience.  Also, stick around to browse the rest of our blog posts to learn more about our photography services, and hopefully, we will be capturing your family’s memories real soon!
