Winter Break 2017 - Photography by Santy Martinez

Happy New Year! 2017 was such a marvelous year for Photography by Santy Martinez.  It was certainly one of our busiest!  We had the pleasure of capturing some of the most beautiful, creative and fun-loving souls. We shot at some of the most spectacular venues, traveled to gorgeous destinations and worked alongside some of the most talented vendors that helped make the couples’ event a reality.  To say that we had an amazing year is an understatement.  This past wedding season alone, we worked back-to-back weekends without a single weekend off since September.  Each one of those weekends presented us with a unique story to capture and we were thrilled to do so.  Needless to say, between shooting, editing, conducting meetings and the holidays - we were due for a little R & R! So Santy and I blocked our calendar and packed our little suitcases and off we went on our family road trip. 

Since so many of you have allowed us to capture your best memories, we thought that we would give you a glimpse of ours by sharing our vacation video with you.  Many of you know that we are big Disney fans so it’s no surprise that our trip was sandwiched with visits to the Happiest Place on Earth!  As Disney Vacation Club Members, we enjoy staying at the WDW resorts.  On this trip we stayed at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney’s Hilton Head island Resort in South Carolina and ended the journey at the always fabulous The Villas at the Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  Between visits to WDW, we traveled up to Savannah, GA (our baby’s namesake!) for the second year in a row to ring in the New Year and it was cold!  We just missed the snow before we headed back to what we thought would be sunny Florida.  For those of you who were in Florida for the New Year you know we were not spared the cold snap – it was 37 degrees in St. Augustine!  That was our last stop before we made it back to the Magic Kingdom for even more winter weather.  Despite being bundled up, we had a fantastic and refreshing time on our road trip! Lots of fun, laughter and reflection as we set our goals for 2018.

Santy and I are optimistic that this year will meet or exceed the success we had last year.  With so many weddings already in the books for the New Year as well as the new couples we are yet to meet, we are extremely pumped to continue to provide excellent service and timeless images for our clients.   We love creating and capturing memories – thanks for taking the time to watch ours.
