Engagement Session - Matheson Hammock Park - Inely + Isaiah

We had a great time getting to know Inely and Isaiah at their engagement session at Matheson Hammock Park in Coral Gables. We would like to share a little bit about their love story below along with a fun sneak peek from their photo shoot.  We can’t wait to capture their wedding in March of next year – we just know it’s going to be as amazing as they are!

How they met:

In the Spring of 2009, Inely and Isaiah met on a rainy day at the University of Florida. Isaiah was pledging Delta Sigma Pi where Inely was already a member. As a part of the pledging process, Isaiah had to interview every member so he kindly asked Inely all of the questions. Shortly after that day, they began to spend more time together, but never thought anything of it. In fact, Isaiah had bet Inely that he did not want to date anyone in college. Inely bet against him. Little did she know that she was the person who was going to cause Isaiah to lose that bet on October 13, 2009 when Isaiah asked her to be his girlfriend. They loved spending time together, but they really fell in love on the Spanish Steps in Rome when studying abroad the summer of 2010. From that moment, they both knew that what they had was for a lifetime.

The big proposal:

In September of 2017, Inely and Isaiah were on their annual European trip visiting Dublin, London, and Amsterdam. While in Dublin, they went to a small coastal fishing village named Howth which has the closest cliffs to Dublin. Inely and Isaiah first walked around the fishing village and then decided to walk the cliffs to take in the nature. The hike was 6 kilometers and was strenuous since it was extremely steep and windy. Through the walk, they could barely talk to each other because the wind was so strong. They would often lose their balance when taking a step. After about an hour and a half, they finally reached the top of the cliff. Isaiah said “Hey, do you want to stop and sit on this rock to take in the views?” So they walked down towards the rock and while heading down, Isaiah slips and falls on his butt. He then gets up and helps Inely down. As they try to sit on the rock, Isaiah slips and falls once more and they both laugh hysterically. They started talking about their adventures, how much they love travelling, and how beautiful the view was. Then Isaiah said, “I want to be doing this with you for the rest of my life.” At that point he got down on one knee and asked Inely to marry him. So romantic!
